Building a Successful CPM Schedule

Building a Successful CPM Schedule  (Seminar No. 15-1)

computersThe scheduling software programs available today are extremely powerful. Yet many CPM schedules are destined for failure for very simple reasons. Just as Microsoft Word will not make someone a best-selling author, programs like Primavera P6 are wasted on inexperienced schedulers who lack fundamental scheduling skills.

Participants in our Primavera P6 classes learn about the proper way to build a CPM schedule. Now these techniques are available in a separate forum.

This is a live 60-minute seminar followed by a Q&A session with the instructor. Upcoming seminar times and dates can be found here. The seminar will be recorded and made available to all participants for review.

Who should attend: anyone new to the scheduling profession as well as seasoned professionals who have never built a CPM schedule “from scratch”. If you have never built a schedule yourself without assistance, this seminar is for you!

What you will learn: in this seminar you will learn:

  • How to interpret scheduling specifications
  • The building blocks of a successful CPM schedule
  • Why decimal places matter in activity durations
  • Default settings in Primavera P6 and which ones to use
  • Why the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is important
  • How to account for normal weather in the CPM schedule
  • Why the CPM schedule is not an instruction manual

Pricing: the fee for this seminar is $100. Each additional participant from the same company pays just $75.
